Kyle Barrowa young man from England, came to Antaya (Türkiye) next to his best friend, with whom he fulfilled the dream of traveling outside his country for the first time and getting to know new cultures. However, the 27-year-old citizen found the death days later, due to an accident.
The Manchester man was riding an electric scooter and lost control while crossing a busy intersection in the southern Turkish coastal city, causing it to crash into a palm tree.
Cal Junior, the victim’s best friend and travel companion, testified that a truck was also involved in the tragic accident. Emergency services took Kyle to a local hospital with serious injuries, but medical staff were unable to save him.
“With the heaviest heart imaginable, I have to tell you that Kyle was in an accident this afternoon and his life was unfortunately lost,” the bereaved wrote through his social networks.
“We are in Turkey and I am doing my best to understand what I need to do next, but I will update everyone when I can. RIP my best friend for life passed away in my arms he was gone too soon we will meet again one day. The memories will last forever,” he added.
Family and friends of Kyle Barrow have created a GoFundMe account to raise funds for the costs of repatriating the body. So far they have raised more than 8,000 euros.
