The arrival of artificial intelligence has generated great technological changes in the world. Its various tools allow users to perform tasks that could take hours to days. For this reason, many specialists believe that their presence can mean a threat to certain professions. In this sense, a recent investigation revealed which would be the countries in Latin America that more jobs would be lost by the AI.
South America, the most affected region
According to a study of Goldman Sachs, The two countries that would suffer a strong impact of artificial intelligence in the workplace would be Argentina and Chili. Both South American nations would lose 24% of jobs, especially in legal and administrative areas. I would follow Brazil, with 23% and Mexico, with 21%.
Employment and AI in Peru
On the other hand, employment in Peru would be affected by 20% due to artificial intelligence. Given this possibility, a survey carried out by Bumeran revealed that 73% of Peruvians are aware that this technological tool can replace them from their jobs.
What jobs could artificial intelligence replace?
Those in charge of this research, economists Joseph Briggs and Devesh Kodnanithey predict that programs like ChatGPT could do things like filing a small business’s tax returns, evaluating an insurance claim, or documenting the results of a crime scene investigation.
