Evangelical pastor is sentenced to 59 years in prison for sexual abuse in a shelter in Mexico


An evangelical pastor was sentenced to 59 years in prison for the crimes of sexual abuse of four victims inside a home, in Monterrey, in northern Mexico. According to the Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office, the events were recorded between August and October 2020, the period in which the man arrived to teach classes and physical activities to the inmates.

Surprisingly, the pastor, identified as 51-year-old Jacob ‘N’, he gave up two months of being in the institution. “Following this, the victims denounced that, during their stay, the defendant performed sexual acts against them,” the authorities said.

Among his victims are three minors and an adult. Their identities are reserved for security.

Although initially the man had fled to Ecatepec de Morelos, in the central State of Mexico, was arrested in 2021 by the municipal police when he disturbed public order. Upon verifying his data, they learned that he was being sought for the crimes mentioned above.

Jacob will not only be imprisoned for almost 60 years, but will have to pay a fine of 93,366 pesos; that is, about $5,305, according to the statement shared by the State Attorney’s Office on Twitter.
